About the role:

This is an Ongoing Full-time position starting on August 1st 2026.

As a Mathematics Teacher, your repsonsiblities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teach the French Mathematics curriculum in French to Secondary school students (Years 6 to 12). Potentially some Chemistry teaching as well, delivered in in English
  • Prepare students for examinations
  • Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected
  • An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage

  • Remuneration as per the Independent Schools NSW/ACT industrial agreement (Annual full time base between a minimum of $94 155 AUD and a maximum of $133 009 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience)

    About the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree + Master's degree in education + competitive examination (CAPES/Agrégation), subject to assessment by Australian agencies
  • Minimum of 4 years' full-time experience
  • Previous experience in the French Education system, with excellent command of the French national curriculum
  • Previous experience in collège and lycée
  • Native speaker French plus English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall band score of at least 5.0, with no component below 4.5
  • Knowledge of the AEFE network and the French education system abroad
  • Ability to teach Mathematics in French & Sciences (especially Chemistry) in English is highly regarded
  • Relational and reflective classroom teacher and collaborative community member focused on improving educational outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with students using inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices
