History & Geography Teacher

This is an Ongoing, Full-time contract starting on 01/08/2026.
As a Secondary Teacher, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teach the History and Geography curriculum in French to secondary school students (Years 6 to 12)
- Prepare students for examinations
- Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected
- Embrace the French-Australian work culture of our School
- An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage

About the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree + Master's degree in education + competitive examination (CAPES/Agrégation), subject to assessment by Australian agencies
- Minimum of 4 years' full-time experience
- Previous experience in the French Education system, in collège and lycée
- Native speaker French plus English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall band score of at least 5.0, with no component below 4.5
- Knowledge of the AEFE network and the French education system abroad
- Ability to teach across subject areas is highly regarded
- Relational and reflective classroom teacher and collaborative community member focused on improving educational outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to engage with students using inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices
