Bundaberg State High School is one of Queensland’s oldest schools, with around 1,650 students and 190 staff, and has been located on its current site since 1920. The school reflects the diverse Bundaberg community, including over 10% Indigenous students, more than 100 students in its Special Education Program, and many students facing social and economic challenges. At the same time, a strong cohort of students continues to achieve outstanding results academically, culturally, and in sport.

Located in the vibrant regional city of Bundaberg, the school offers a welcoming community lifestyle with access to coastal attractions and a relaxed Queensland environment. We currently are seeking passionate teachers to join our school on a temporary basis.

Current Temporary Opportunities:

  • Mathematics/Science - Year 7-10 (Temporary, ASAP - 26/06/2026) 
  • Design and Technologies (Engineering principles and systems/Materials and Technologies Specialisations/Food and Fibre Production) - Junior Secondary (temporary/fraction negotiable, commencing ASAP - 11/12/26)
