Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont in the position of Facilities Officer (Groundsperson). This is a term-time continuing position for 16hpw, commencing as soon as possible.
We are seeking applicants who will contribute to the effective and efficient operation and environment of the school through a high level of personal motivation and initiative in the ongoing maintenance, beautification, and development of the school’s facilities and grounds.
Reporting to the Principal, this role performs daily grounds and maintenance tasks including minor repairs and maintenance of school building and surrounds, gardening and grounds beautification and various other tasks as required.
Typical duties include but are not limited:-
- Securing grounds and equipment – keeping our school safe
- Mowing, trimming and fertilising lawns and turf areas
- Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems
- Weeding, planting and fertilising gardens
- Outdoor cleaning and use of high-pressure water cleaner
- Identify and assist with minor building maintenance – e.g., touch up painting and other minor repairs.
