An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified, and dedicated Director for our OSHC service. The Director will lead the Assistant Director and the OSHC Educators to provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care.

St Brigid's School is a vibrant, co-educational Catholic school from Reception to Year 6, rooted in faith, community, and striving for academic excellence. The school is dedicated to educating the whole child in a warm and welcoming community, providing students with a strong foundation for life. St Brigid’s OSHC is a continuation of our school where every child is known, welcome and every child belongs.

St Brigid's School seeks a dedicated, student focused Director to coordinate our OSHC service as a permanent member of our staff.  The Director alongside Educators will provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care.

  • ESO Grade 5 
  • 5 days per week – Monday -Friday 6:30am-10:15 am and 2:30-6:15 pm (37.5 hours per week for 41 weeks)

We are looking for:

  • Leadership experience, including supervising staff and managing complex situations preferable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Well-developed observation and reporting skills.
  • Experience in administrative duties related to OSHC operations.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.
  • The ability to model and teach appropriate behaviours while providing proactive support for children.

The successful applicant must have or be willing to obtain:

  • Qualifications recognised by ACECQA for working in a child-related industry. 
  • A current Working with Children Check and Catholic Clearance.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training.
  • A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place framework.
  • Food Safety Training (or willingness to undertake).
