Primary Years Teacher - Music and Performing Arts

About The Role:
Our Lady of Grace School (“OLOG”) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher – Music & Performing Arts to join our community on a 12‑month replacement basis, 0.6FTE. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver a high‑quality Music and Performing Arts program that engages and inspires primary school students, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love of learning.
Working collaboratively with staff, students, and families, the successful applicant will contribute to the holistic development of students while supporting the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning within a Catholic context.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and delivering engaging Music and Performing Arts programs for students from Reception to Year 6
- Applying sound pedagogical practices to support diverse learners and promote student achievement
- Leading and supporting co‑curricular music ensembles and performances
- Coordinating and liaising with instrumental music teachers to support instrumental lesson programs at OLOG
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support school priorities, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
About You:
We are seeking someone who:
- Is a qualified and registered teacher in South Australia with the ability to teach Music and Performing Arts in a primary setting
- Demonstrates exceptional teaching practice and a passion for Music education
- Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
- Brings energy, confidence, and creativity to engaging young learners
- Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and caregivers
- Works collaboratively within a professional learning community
- Is committed to the Catholic ethos and OLOG values
