Summary

The Senior School Officer, Industry Liaison and Pathways provides coordinated administrative and operational support to the school Pathways team to maintain and enhance student pathways.

About the opportunity

The Senior School Officer (Industry Liaison and Pathways) coordinates and administers work experience, Pathways and VET-related programs, provides guidance and support to students and stakeholders, and contributes to the development and continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure effective, compliant and high-quality pathways outcomes for secondary school students. 

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 

  • Monitor and provide administrative support for student pathways programs, including work placement, work experience and school-based traineeships, to maximise meaningful industry engagement and post-school outcomes for students.
  • Provide operational support within external industry and education networks for students
  • Support staff, employers and training organisations on work placement requirements, processes and expectations.
  • Liaise with and maintain effective partnerships with employers, Group Training Organisations, Registered Training Organisations and external agencies and businesses to support sustainable placement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and systems, including attendance, student progress, registration of businesses, placements and traineeships, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Respond to and support with students enquiries related to career development, students placements, assisting with resumes, applications, interview preparation and employment-seeking strategies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including College leadership, Guidance Counsellors, Inclusive Education and Pastoral Support staff, to ensure coordinated and appropriate student support.
  • Identify and contribute to improvements in work placement processes, systems and service delivery to enhance efficiency, compliance and student experience.
  • Support the wider pathways team with Career and Pathway events, updates and assist with budget administration.

  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
