Role Description/Criteria

Art Teacher (Years 7–12, including VCE Art Making & Exhibiting)
Fixed Term | Approx. 0.87 FTE (including every second Wednesday off) | Commencing ASAP

At Mercy College Coburg, we believe art is more than a subject, it’s a powerful way for students to express identity, explore ideas and connect with the world.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher to join our community in a fixed-term replacement position through to the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension into 2027.

This is more than a teaching role — it’s an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

About the role:

  • Teach Art across Years 7–12, including VCE Art Making and Exhibiting 
  • Support and guide senior students through their VCE journey with clarity and confidence 
  • Establish continuity, structure and engagement in the Art program 
  • Contribute to a dynamic and creative learning culture within the College 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a passionate and experienced Art educator, ideally with VCE experience 
  • Brings creativity, energy and excellent organisational skills 
  • Builds positive, respectful relationships with students 
  • Is proactive, adaptable and ready to step into a role where they can make a difference
