System Coach: Diversity & Inclusion

The Opportunity
The Diversity & Inclusion System Coaches support schools achieve excellence and equity for all students who come from diverse social, cultural, geographic and family backgrounds, are of many identities, and of all abilities.
They are responsible for providing coaching, consultation, liaison and professional learning services in the functional areas of:
- Inclusive enrolment,
- Inclusive teaching and learning,
- Responding to the engagement, wellbeing and support needs of students.
The coaches may lead a portfolio in an area of expertise. Portfolios responsibilities can relate to specific populations, conditions, approaches, modalities or techniques and are used to effectively deploy and coordinate expertise within the team.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position will be commencing as soon as possible until the end of the 2026 year.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Teaching qualifications and current teacher registration in South Australia
- Exercise significant professional judgement in a diverse range of domains, including implementing and interpreting policy directives, communicating to school leaders the current developments in the areas of diversity and inclusion
- Possess the ability to facilitate school and system improvement in the areas of inclusion, participation and classroom and behaviour management
- Demonstrates a proven ability to work collaboratively with peers, students, families/carers and community services and to negotiate and manage conflict with colleagues, family/carers and school staff
