Albany Creek State School are seeking applications for a Deputy Principal to contribute positively to our team culture and committed to providing challenging and supportive learning for all students.

The role requires a leader who can think strategically while acting responsively—someone who can build strong systems, lead change, and work collaboratively with staff, students, and the community.

We are looking for a Deputy Principal who demonstrates distributed leadership, empowers others to lead, and builds sustainable practices through coaching, feedback, and professional learning.

Strong communication, organisational capability, and a commitment to inclusive education and wellbeing are essential.

Who We Are: 

Albany Creek Primary School was established in 1874 and opened in 1875. It remained a small country school until the mid-1970's when nearby housing developments caused a rapid growth in school population.

Albany Creek Primary currently has a student population of approximately 720 students from prep to year six. 

Our school has a strong and proud history. We offer a high-quality learning program, where we strive to ensure students have fun, are challenged, and grow as learners and citizens.

We offer a broad range of events and opportunities for students, including instrumental music, choirs, leadership opportunities, Interschool-sport Gala Days.

We have a number of long-standing Arts events including our Speaking Competition, Kerribee and participation in Creative Generation.

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.

  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
