Position Details:
St Mary MacKillop College is committed to providing quality K-12 Catholic education in the South West region. We are a supportive, caring community with modern facilities designed to engage students and bring learning to life.

This is a part time (0.2 FTE), temporary position for Semester 2 2026, in a Pre-Kindy classroom on a Thursday   

A St Mary MacKillop College teacher encourages each student to discover and develop their interests and talents in order to become the best they can be. Providing innovative and best practice teaching, students will grow and develop lifelong learning attributes.

Reporting to the Head of Primary the role of a St Mary MacKillop College teacher is to plan, organise and deliver educational programs, modelled within the Catholic Ethos, in a positive learning environment.

The successful applicant will have:
•    Willingness to promote and support the Catholic ethos as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community.
•    A relevant 4-year tertiary qualification in Primary Education (Early Childhood Education). 
•    Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards).
•    A deep understanding of the Western Australian curriculum.
•    Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.
•    Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards. 
•    Current Teachers Registration.
•    Current Working with Children Check.

•    Is a vibrant, passionate and enthusiastic educator.
•    Provides a nurturing and supportive environment inspiring students to develop a love of learning.
•    Has proven experience teaching using Explicit Instruction pedagogy.
•    Is competent with the use of technology in the classroom, online strategies and digital process software.
•    Possess team work skills that contribute to productive working relationships and outcomes.
